PG II
Two-pole phase comparator
The PG II is a two-pole phase comparator that is used to reliably determine phase equality between two live conductors in a medium-voltage network. The test device is ideal for use in switchgear and network areas where a clear assignment of phases is essential.
The system consists of two components:
Part A comprises an actuating rod with integrated contact electrode and a display unit that clearly visualizes the phase alignment status.
Part B consists of a separate actuating rod with contact electrode for recording the reference value.
The insulating rod can be separated from the display unit for safe handling and space-saving transportation. The connection between contact electrodes A and B is made via a coiled, high-voltage-resistant cable, which is designed for use in the medium voltage range.
The PG II fulfills all safety-relevant requirements and is subject to mandatory repeat testing every 6 years in accordance with DGUV regulation 3 (table 1c).
